Indian Summer Weekend
Good Saturday everyone and welcome to a taste of some very pleasant weather. It is widely known as Indian Summer and it is so popular that a movie of the same name was out some years ago...

Who knew?
Regardless... the weather is so nice that you guys don't need to be reading me... you need to be outside soaking it up. With what should be a long, cold and snowy winter ahead of us... you may want to fit some of this into a bottle and break it out on one of those cold January days.
I will give you a few words of weather wisdom, though.
Today and Sunday will be awesome! Temps will be well into the 60s with a shot at a 70 IF we can get enough sunshine. A couple of periods of clouds will be with us this weekend but will not produce any rains.
Monday will be another warm one with 60s again with clouds increasing ahead of a cold front that moves in for Tuesday. This will bring our next threat of showers to the area. How much rain will actually be dependent on what is going on down in the Gulf with Ida. If you are into that sort of thing, you can track the storm right here...

Ok... time to go out and enjoy the weather. Thanks for reading and I will update things later tonight. Have a great weekend and take care.

the mositure from ida will leave the center behind, model runs continue to trend this moisture surge westward, not suprising becasue of the gfs's bias to take the energy from tropical storms to the northeast to quickly. southern and southeastern ky have the best shot at periods of rain sometime tuesday. most of should see overcast with subsidence in place between the front and ida.

Today was gorgous, alright for mowing/mulching, but not so terrific for raking the multitudes of leaves (while I was in the mood to do so, no less...)
mitch, or anyone...I asked this yesterday to no avail..what's the Wx looking like for us after Tuesday's rain showers? My folks are coming from out west (probably the last time they make it in here to good ol' KY-they are up in age & health gradually failing

Interesting how I make a comment, and it is ALWAYS the LAST ONE on any one of CB's blogs....??!
I reckon I don't "belong"...{sniff-sniff-sob}
OK..'Pity-Party" OVER!!! (I would LIKE an answer to my question, tho....lol)

Yes, you do belong...everyone's just outside enjoying the weather. Just wait until winter gets started, Debbie, it will be difficult to get a post in edgewise, lol.
I wish I could answer your question, but alas, I am only a weather groupie, not a guru.

I've been here for about 3 Winter's so far, Rhonda...and I can't WAIT!!!
Not a guru...nor a groupie, either...I like making my own predictions...?!
Was just sayin', tho...seems like the Blog ENDS everytime I make a comment??! Or I am thrown into "moderation"(I know..happens to everybody..lol) I thought it was because it was "cliquey" or something??! (I mean, from Bardstown...not quite in the Lex. area, but hey-we get KYT here, too?!-whenever our new Digital format decides to not make everyone "freeze up" in some weird-ass deformation...??!(you have to see it...lol)Chris has absolutely THE BEST 4-cast-ALWAYS!?- even tho this is how I get his 4cast now rather than KYT...?!- Not picking on our "locals", of course?!-but-I come HERE whenever I want the REAL forecast...not just listening to the same 3-4 wx-guys/gals repeating what the "models" have to say, then changing their minds @ the last 2 sec's of 'the Game", then a year later, bragging about how they were "right on" the forecast for said snowstorm, ice storm, f-4 twister, whatever..??! (I've caught Belski in the '94 snowstorm about 7 times now...he still refuses to admit he was WRONG in his last forecast before it hit....lol)
