Sunday Look Ahead
Good Sunday everyone. Before we look ahead... let's give our Saturday a big round of applause!!! What a great day we had with temps well into the 60s under a partly sunny sky. Today isn't liking all the attention Saturday is getting and will try to one up it and may succeed. These days are numbered as changes start showing up this week with a big change looming for Thanksgiving Week.
Today into Monday will feature more of the same as the 60s will rule as more pleasant weather rolls on.
Bye later Tuesday... the closed low in the plains states will begin to impact the region as clouds and the threat for showers increases for the middle and end of the week.
GFS Wednesday

The air out ahead of this cut off low will continue to be fairly mild as the chilly air remains directly under the low itself.
We will likely see a pretty cool temp map coming up across the Ohio Valley by mid week.
Temps for us will come down to more seasonal levels for the middle and end of the week.
Thanksgiving week is likely to see our weather pattern really crank up across the entire country as old man winter wakes up from his November slumber.

Thanksgiving

You get the idea... the models are saying it is going to get cold with a shot at winter for Thanksgiving week. They also point to this hanging tough into early December.
Don't forget... the winter forecast comes out sometime this coming week and I will likely have a live chat at some point so you guys can ask questions about it.
Have a great Sunday and take care.

Hi Chris.
What to do, what to do??? (re: the two teams)
I can tell you what I do. I'm a Tuckassean. So when the two teams play each other, I watch and don't root for either team. I love them both!

Yup...it is our first cold month of the year and typically is when we see our first flakes. So it counts...and as advertised...it's already trending warmer and drier. I know you hate it.

those years didnt' have below avg. temps. and above avg. precip from April-October though. This year is a totally different ballgame and people who use analogs for their forecast or rely totally on teleconnections are going to get destroyed.

For the last 20 or so years, WE DEY...
Bengals make the playoffs every 20 years or so... So enjoy Bengals fans... it won't happen again until 2029...!!!
As for the Steelers fans... Relax... We have 6 rings, and the sorry, and I do mean SORRY Bengals franchise has ZERO, ZILCH, NANA, NOTHING...
Go STEELERS....

I hate to be picky... but shouldn't it be "WHO DEY?!" instead of "WHO DEY!"?? I mean...even though it's ebonics...we could at least use the correct punctuation, right?

Just when ya think you get to relax and enjoy the upcoming rollercoaster ride for our never-ending "NEXT WEEK WINTER" the Bengals sweeps my beloved Steelers!! BOOO!!! minus the 15 yd unsportsman like conduct by Harrison and the MISCUE on special teams, the Steelers would've prevailed! WOULDA, COULDA, SHOULDA! but I feel a #3 round coming with the #1 + #2 defense.. can we have another WE DEY!? Don't worry, the Bengals will go 1 & out for the postseason.. lol Looks like the Steelers going to go #6 seed SB team again!
Hats off to my fellow Steelers fans!
Congrats to the Bengals fans! Peace my fellow bloggers!!

WOW, cant beat this super autumn weather. That little ole 16 day GFS plot continues to show that wet time around thanksgiving. Whether it be all rain or a little snow waffles about. A little frozen precip is safe to bet on during the 4 day stretch. Little snow are the key words right now. To let us know winters a comin. Surprises can happen.
