Post Your Weather
Hello all! We are seeing something very cool taking place across the region right now. Heavy bands of sleet and snow are quickly moving through the area and we are getting accumulations even with temps above freezing. Where the precip is the heaviest... it is pulling down enough cold air for all snow and it is heavy at times. It is snowing faster than it can melt and is leading to accumulations of a quick inch of two.
This will also create some slick travel in a very short period of time as slush accumulates on roads faster than it can melt. You can track the wintry weather here...

Help out the blog and your fellow weather lovers by posting what is going on where you live. Take care.

Thought I would start commenting on here again. I moved from Nicholasville down to Florida May 2008 and this past December 12th moved back up here. I am excited for this winter and hope to see some bigger snows than the small dustings we have had since I have moved back.
Earlier tonight around 1130 it has switched over to snow and was sticking to non-paved areas. It sadly turned back to rain and as washed all away except for some ice on the cars. It was only 35 when it was snowing so the flakes were huge and fluffy.

I don't know when it got here or how hard it came down, but our entire yard is covered in slush here in eastern Bourbon County. It's 36 degrees per Lauren on the WKYT early news show. That is very odd.
It looks like we will not be getting a lot of rain, which is great.
