All Eyes On Hurricane Harvey

Good Friday to one and all. I’m running out of ways to describe just how awesome the current weather pattern is across the bluegrass state. All I can say is go out and enjoy this thing of beauty. While you’re doing that, I’m tracking some showers and storms in here early next week, and the potential for Harvey to impact the region.

The first threat for a shower or storm comes late Sunday into Sunday night, with a much better chance arriving Monday. That’s when a system drops in from the northwest…

Some of the storms can put down decent rains through Tuesday…

It’s once into the middle of next week that we could be feeling the impacts from Hurricane Harvey. This storm is a powerhouse, ready to slam ashore into Texas…

Take the interactive radar for a drive down to Texas to track the storm. You can also pull up live storm chaser cams to see just how bad things are getting…

This storm will likely dump feet of rain across southeastern Texas. That’s right… FEET of rain as it stalls through the weekend.

What happens after that still remains up in the air. Odds favor the remnants of this system getting into the Ohio Valley something later next week. The European Model continues to think that’s the case…

Obviously, take no one solution to heart when dealing with a tropical system that stalls. We will have a better picture of everything over the next few days.

Have a great Friday and take care.
