A Taste Of September

Good Wednesday, everyone. We have a true taste of early fall taking control of our weather over the next couple of days. This nice air will carry us through the end of the week, with an increase in the numbers by the weekend. A the temps bounce back, thunderstorms look to crash back in.

Let’s begin with today and roll forward.

Cooler northwesterly winds are blowing in with temps generally in the mid and upper 70s under a mix of sun and clouds. Isolated showers or a few sprinkles can’t be ruled out…

Thursday looks absolutely AWESOME with lows ranging from 50-55 in many areas and highs in the mid and upper 70s. There’s even the chance for a few early morning upper 40s to show up in the coolest valleys.

Friday starts with temps back into the low and middle 50s with afternoon readings going back into the upper 70s and low 80s for many. Humidity levels start to increase as we watch the northwestern sky for some showers and storms to develop. That northwestern sky may throw more storms at us through the weekend…

Humidity levels and temps continue to climb early next week as heat builds to our west and north. The orientation of this setup may open up the Gulf of Mexico and throw some showers and storms our way…

That same flow tries to become much more active by Labor Day weekend as a trough approaches from the northwest. Pressures will also be lowering in the tropics, especially down in the Gulf…

I don’t think anyone would be shocked to see some storms impacting the unofficial ending to summer that is Labor Day weekend.

Have a great Wednesday and take care.
