Another Stormy Setup On The Way

Good Friday, everyone. It’s an absolutely gorgeous weather day across the Commonwealth, but in true Kentucky fashion, it’s not going to last very long. The setup from late this weekend through next week continues to look pretty stormy. In other words… Blah, Blah, Blah.

Let’s start with the precious present and roll forward. Record lows in the 40s are possible to start us out, with low and middle 70s on the way this afternoon. Skies look awesome.

The dry weather should last through Saturday as temps reach the upper 70s and lower 80s. Humidity levels will be on the increase and that can fire up a stray shower or thunderstorm.

Showers and storms will increase on Sunday as a system drops in from the northwest. This will slow down on top of us through next week, leading to rounds of showers and thunderstorms rolling across Kentucky and the rest of the Ohio Valley. This is a setup that can put down a lot of rain in our region over the next week and change…

The Ensembles over the next 2 weeks show the heart of the rainfall right on top of us…

Temps do get back to normal for the week ahead, but a few troughs look to try and dive back in. You can see this on the CFS as it has a cool look for the final week of June…

Make it a great day and take care.
