Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone! Say that one three times. 🙂  Heavy rain is rolling across the bluegrass state and this is just ahead of a powerful storm that moves in over the next 24 hours.

Let’s review what it brings…

– Heavy rain with some thunder and lightning will be with us tonight. Watch for some local stream issues in the southeast.

– The low pressure works across the state Wednesday with a big temp spike and drop. More heavy rain is likely.

– Winds will be VERY gusty in the central and east with 40mph+ a good bet.

– Flurries and a few snow showers will then fly from west to east Christmas Eve into Christmas Morning.

Things clear up nicely late Christmas into Friday. The next cold front arrives with rain Saturday into Sunday. An area of low pressure develops along that late Sunday into Monday with the potential for rain or snow. The GFS has taken on more of a snow look…
