Good afternoon, gang. A warm and windy spring day is in progress across the commonwealth of Kentucky. That’s a good thing for many of us looking to shake off the nasty conditions of the past few days. For western parts of the state, this isn’t necessarily a good thing because it may fire up some strong or severe storms.
The best chance for storms to crank will be during the evening and overnight hours. A few storms may go severe in the west with damaging winds and large hail the primary threats. The Storm Prediction Center has places this region in a slight risk for severe weather.

No, we’re gonna be nowhere near that bad. Worst it can be here is hail, strong winds, lightning and heavy rain.
