Good Tuesday, folks. We have rounds of showers and storms rumbling across the bluegrass state today. Some of these storms may be on the strong or severe side. This still looks like the beginning of a rather stormy and wet period across our part of the world.
A daily threat for showers and storms will be with us for the rest of the week and that may carry us all the way through next week. The GFS continues to insist on the axis of heaviest rains shifting from the plains states back into our part of the world. The latest 2 week rainfall forecast…
Back to the present day potential of scattered severe storms. Large hail and damaging winds would be the primary threats for us to watch for if the storms can get cranking. Heavy rainfall will also be a good possibility during this time.
Let’s get to tracking…

Make it a great day and take care.
Chris, I notice on the 7 day rainfall forecast from the HPC OR WPC, I still see heavy rains in TX/OK. It’s like it IS shifting east, yet staying rainy in those areas too.
I’m so happy for people in TX (not flooding of course) but the fact that their drought is essentially over. Wichita Falls TX well over a foot of rain with more rain in the forecast according to this. I read that the spillway has water going over it for the first time since 1995!

I am beginning to wonder if we see a drought period for this area, besides some scattered events.
Please don’t start with drought talk. Every year we get dry spells… every… single… year.
Would like to see some rain this week. Had a little here and there and things are not really drought like dry yet. But I do not want that either so hopefully this rain pans out for the next little bit.
Seen some pics of Texas. They needed rain but wow. Have some family that live there and there pictures are just amazing.
