Good evening, gang. We continue to see snow showers and squalls working in from the northwest. Lake Michigan will provide a little boost to this action tonight into Wednesday morning. Additional light accumulations are likely with some hot spot totals of another inch or two possible.
I continue to focus on late week into the coming weekend as we have a lot more action on the way. A fast moving clipper will deliver some light snows to parts of western and central Kentucky late Wednesday night into Thursday morning…
A quick inch or two is possible for the areas picking up on the light snow.
The next system is a true arctic front sweeping into the region late Friday. That should also have a band of snow centered farther northeast compared to the Thursday light snow maker…
Bitterly cold temps and wind chill numbers come in behind that for Friday night into Saturday.
The next storm system continues to show up very well on the forecast models. The European Model is just a little farther south with the system…
This continues to look very interesting as we get closer. The potential is there for this storm to dig in from the northwest then ride up the Appalachian Mountains. Stay tuned.

Thanks Chris. Pulling out the heavy duty winter wear for the rest of the week! Sounds like I’m going to need them! Have a great evening all, and GO CATS!!
Euro track is near perfect for SE KY, meaning it will likely change. Would love to see a low track up the Appalachians.
Hoping for a slight NW trend.
It will move north west by Monday.
Yeah, a whole lot more than likely.
All eyes on the late weekend/early next week system! Hope it’s a fun one to watch!
It’s just too cold. I don’t like this.
disappointing winter weather advisory day in Fayette County – a few festive flakes and that’s it. If it’s going to be this cold, give me some snow!
DITTO…For all of Kentucky. Just don’t see a reason for a WWA for any counties outside the Upslope ones. I do like the looks of the late weekend system and the current model placement of the low. The NW trend will come into play and it will be fun and games for most of KY. Bad thing is I will be traveling back from St. Louis Monday afternoon and or evening depending on my volleyball teams play over the weekend.
Scenic snow! The salt is not scenic though and does nothing much in real cold air. Snails HATE the stuff!
Bubbag….I believe snails hate cold weather as well. Haven’t seen many running around as of late. HA HA…THINK SNOW!
Radar isn’t very impressive tonight.
Hope President Day storm hits us good here in Middlesboro.
Right now were getting a pretty good snow shower here in Southern Lawrence Co. With a fairly nice blanket of snow. But it is wind driven, so likely an inch of accumulations by the time it moves out.
