Good Saturday, everyone. The first ten days of the month were about as cold as you will find for this time of year in the bluegrass state. Temps turned the corner a few days ago, and are now fully into the warm range for April. The turnaround in temps has been nothing short of impressive, even if you blog readers knew it was coming. 🙂

We are seeing a major blocking pattern across North America, but it’s one that is putting is in the warm “bubble”…

Euro 2

Highs today may be just a touch cooler than Friday, but should still range from 70-75 in most areas. Sunday looks to be very warm with highs ranging from 75-80 degrees.

The warmest air moves in on Monday and could deliver temps in the low 80s…

Once that moves through here, the pattern can get even warmer. I started hawking the potential for 85 degree temps back when we were in the early April deep freeze, and I’m glad I did. While Monday could get a few areas near that, the air next weekend can blow up on us…

In the coming days, we will start talking more about where this pattern goes for the upcoming summer. Sizzle sizzle!

Enjoy the day and take care.
