Good Sunday, folks. We have a very warm pattern rolling on across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This is a pattern that’s likely to continue over the next few weeks, with thunderstorms eventually joining the party.
Highs today hit the mid and upper 70s with an 80 here or there. Skies stay awesome, so go outside and play. That’s an order! 🙂
Monday’s highs should reach the lower 80s in most areas…
We stay warm through Wednesday with daily highs generally upper 70s to around 80. The upper level low that’s parking itself in the west tries to make a run at us by the end of the week…
That should lead to an increase in showers and thunderstorms for Thursday and Friday…
Most of the models indicate up to an inch of rain from this system, but the Canadian shows a little more umph…
Once that rolls through, temps should surge next weekend as a big ridge of high pressure develops…
Low and middle 80s will be possible if that setup does indeed develop.
I’m watching closely for a pattern more conducive for big thunderstorms for the final week of the month into Derby week.
Enjoy your Sunday and take care.
I love the low humidity that is with these great temperatures. It fell to 46 this morning in Lexington and will probably hit 80 or so this afternoon.
Agreed. Warmth and low humidity and low dew point is heaven on earth. #onlysweatwhenyouwanto
Being able to leave your windows open 24/7 and not need fans, AC, or heat does wonders for the electric bill. Though, people who make a lot of noise with their barking dogs, motorcycles/ATVs on neighborhood streets, etc. at night try their best to ruin it.
Agreed x2
Agreed! The high today did hit 80 on the nose after a low of 46. The relative humidity was 23 percent at 3:00 in the afternoon. Perfect weather!
Official high in Louisville today 84
Gorgeous post.. Im finally going to be able to comfortably drive with the convertible top down!
That was pretty cool….ISS just flew overhead in the same vicinity of the sky as the moon and Jupiter.
