Good Tuesday to one and all. For regular readers of the blog, you know I’ve been hitting the potential for some late May “heat”. That call looks to be in great shape as there is a little bit of sizzle showing up in the days ahead and that carries us into the start of June.
Highs today range from near 80 in the east to the middle 80s in the west. Skies stay partly to mostly sunny.
Muggy air sweeps in for Wednesday and will bring with it the chance for scattered storms. Get used to that for the next week, at least.
Daytime highs through Memorial Day will range from the low and mid 80s to near 90 degrees. It all depends on what happens with the daily threat for showers and storms where you live. That storm chance is real over the weekend…
This will be a very muggy period that takes on a tropical feel. Speaking of, that system we pointed out a few days ago is showing up well off the southeastern seaboard. The GFS from above takes whatever it is into the Carolinas.
The Canadian keeps it farther south…
The models keep that system meandering across the southeast or off the east coast into the first day of June. If that’s the case, look out, temps can get really toasty. From WeatherBell…
Have a great day and take care.
Going to
Myrtle beach on the 4th of June does this system look to be out of there by then Chris or anyone wold like to answer ???
I’m generally not a big fan of the color red unless we are talking about the Cincinnati Reds (on pace to lose 108 games as of now) or temperatures. At least one of those is trending in my favor.
If those temps are realized in Tennessee Mississippi Alabama and Georgia those southern states can keep it. Those temperatures are just way way to warm/hot for my liking. Not at all a fan of 90+ temps never have been and I never will be.
