Good Friday to one and all. Much cooler air continues to push into the region from the north, and this is bringing better weather to the bluegrass state. With a good looking weekend staring at us, we now focus on another shot of cool coming next week.

As always, we begin with the precious present. Highs today will be in the upper 70s and low 80s across the east, with mid to upper 80s in the far west. There is also the threat for a shower or storm going up as moisture comes at us from the east…

Saturday’s weather looks awesome with low humidity levels, highs in the 80s and plenty of sunshine. Enjoy!

Sunday isn’t too bad with the 80s rolling on, but the west can flirt with 90.

Monday will see temps shoot toward 90 for many on a gusty southwesterly wind. This is ahead of a strong cold front blowing in here on Tuesday. That front could have some decent storms with it…

The air coming behind this front turns much cooler than normal…

GFS TEMPS 1

Several models try to keep us in the 70s for Wednesday and Thursday…

GFS TEMPS 2

I don’t think too many folks would complain about that!

This is also a pattern that can get the tropics cranking again. Watch the southeast coast into the Gulf of Mexico for a couple of systems trying to pop over the next few weeks.

Enjoy your Friday and take care.
