Good Saturday to one and all. The past few weeks have been rather steamy, but things are certainly much, much better out there this weekend. This is likely a sign of things to come for the week ahead as the pattern takes on a much cooler look.

Highs today will be in the low and mid 80s for much of the state under a mostly sunny sky. Enjoy.

Sunday will see readings back into the middle and upper 80s with a 90 in the west. Humidity levels will still be fairly comfy.

Many areas may reach 90 on Monday as southwesterly winds begin to crank. This windy weather is ahead of a strong cold front arriving later Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely along this boundary…

GFS

The cool air coming in behind this boundary is impressive with the 540 thickness line crossing into the northeast…

GFS 2

The end result is temps well below normal for much of the east…

GFS TEMPS 1

That could give us a few days with highs in the upper 70s. Lows on the GFS are down in the upper 40s in the east…

GFS TEMPS 2

After that… watch for something tropical to try to pop in the Gulf or off the southeastern coastline. The models are sniffing this out…

GFS 3

Have a great Saturday and take care.
