Good Sunday, and Happy Father’s Day. Mother nature is giving all the dads a fairly nice weather day with some sunshine and warm temperatures. I’m making some changes to the week ahead outlook, as it appears thunderstorm chances will play a bigger role than I thought.
Highs today will be mid and upper 80s with 90 in the west. Skies stay mainly sunny, but I can see a scattered storm or two going up across western and central Kentucky…
Many areas will be near 90 on Monday with an increase in humidity and the potential for isolated showers and storms.
A strong cold front dives in here on Tuesday with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely…
That front puts the brakes on across the region and may allow for a wave of low pressure to develop along it by Wednesday and Thursday. That would really ramp up our storm chances.
The GFS…
The European Model…
Both models indicate some heavy rains, but differ slightly on the placement.

Have a great Father’s Day and take care.
Thanks Chris. Happy Fathers Day to you! Enjoy this beautiful weather while we have it!
The first day of summer is upon us, that means the daylight will get shorter slowly as we headed to my favorite part of the year and that’s fall
