Good Tuesday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are pushing into the bluegrass state today, and some of these could be strong or severe. This action looks to hang around through Thursday.

Here’s a breakdown of how this may play out:

  • Showers and thunderstorms develop in a broken line today with a few possibly going severe. The greatest severe threat appears to be along and south of Interstate 64.
  • Clusters of strong to severe storms develop to our northwest and those will dive toward our region. Damaging winds will be the main threat.
  • A cold front moves toward the region on Thursday with a line of strong to severe thunderstorms developing ahead of it. Once again, damaging winds will be the main player.
  • Heavy rains are a concern over the next 3 days. These storms will be loaded with water and can unleash enough to cause flash flooding.

I have the blog all set to track the action…
