Good Friday to one and all. Our super stormy pattern is finally taking a break, but the heat and humidity are about to really ramp up. The hottest weather of the year is on the way for the weekend. Yippee.
There is just a small threat chance for a shower or thunderstorms today, especially across the south and southeast. Temps will be in the normal range…
The heat quickly works in from southwest to northeast this weekend. Highs hit the 90s with an increase in humidity levels. Heat Index values will hot 100+ by Sunday…
110 is possible across the southwestern parts of the state. Ouch.
Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be around this weekend., with an increase in storm chances. According to the models, and we have heard this before, the pattern tries to turn cooler with troughs digging into the east…
The start of July…
The days after the 4th of July show a bigger trough and a tropical system in the Gulf…
We shall see.
Enjoy the day and take care.
We have been very dry ( not a drop of rain since Memorial Day, until this last event) we only received .5 inches during this last three days. I’m grateful for that anyway.
Nashville has been very dry as well, but late last night got a bit too much at once with some flooding issues along with trees toppled. 1.99 inches at Nashville’s BNA airport.
My wife and I are headed to a weekend wedding, keeping our fingers crossed things will be dry.
