Good Friday, folks. Strong and severe thunderstorms caused additional problems across the bluegrass state on Thursday. This is all part of one heck of a stormy pattern across our part of the world. This setup continues out there into the start of the weekend, but things do get better over the next few days.

Speaking of the next few days, I will throw a little winter talk your way!

Today’s storms can be strong with some locally heavy rains and pockets of high winds. I’ll get your tracking tools in a bit.

The models slow this front down just to our south on Saturday. That should allow for a few showers and storms moving through. The NAM shows the most widespread action…

The greatest threat for Saturday rain is across the southern half of the state. I would think this is fairly scattered with a lot of dry hours. Temperatures should be held in check because of clouds.

Sunday looks much better with mainly dry weather. Soak it up.

Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms drop in from the northwest late Monday through Wednesday of next week…

Temps won’t be bad at all into the middle of next week, but the heat does try to make a run at us by the end of the week.

I leave you with your daily dose of tracking tools…
