Good Monday, folks. Were coming off quite the weather weekend here in the bluegrass state. Many areas had the hottest temps of the summer, with some of us getting in on some big time thunderstorms. Now comes a decent change as we flip the calendar from August to September. This change also comes with a big push of tropical systems to track.

Today’s weather will find temps back into the upper 80s to low 90s. Scattered storms will once again cause problems on a local scale. A few could be strong and put down enough water to cause some flash flooding. The daily dose of tracking tools in a bit.

Tuesday will find more of the same, but with temps starting to edge down a bit. This trend continues into Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the northwest. This could bring a broken line of showers and storms into town by Thursday…

MUCH cooler air comes in behind this with readings in the upper 70s to low 80s on Thursday. The Friday highs continue to come down a bit on the models…

VERY pleasant low temps should be noted…

That looks absolutely awesome.

Now, where do we go after Friday? That’s the big question likely to be answered by exactly what goes on with our system down in the Gulf of Mexico. A depression has also popped off the Carolinas and could get the name Hermine before our gulf storm. If that happens, say hello to Ian.

Some of the models also try to spin up a third system off the southeastern coast. Check out this trio…

That’s pretty wild to see.

Speaking of wild, the models continue to be locked in on another potential system next week…
