Good evening, gang. Here’s hoping the blog finds each of you doing well as we head into a cold overnight. The pattern continues to flip toward a colder one, and the setup into next week is looking much more active to boot.

We have set the stage for the cold shot coming this weekend, so let’s look down the road a bit.

Next week is going to find several systems working across the country, each of them with the potential to amplify the pattern and turn into a big storm system.

The first system may not do much but touch off some sprinkles and clouds on Monday…

The next system digs in a little more later Tuesday into Wednesday…

That tries to blow up into something much bigger, but shows the surface low too far to our east. That’s a nice blast of chill.

The next system is forecast to become the biggie of the bunch by the end of next week. Here’s the European Model…
