Good Thursday evening, folks. We have a hard freeze on the way for the weekend, but the weather for the following week is looking more interesting. We have a few systems set to impact the region, with the potential for a much bigger storm by the end of the week.

An upper level system is moving in here late Sunday and Monday…

gfs-5

That can deliver some clouds and a shower or two during this time.

A bigger system dives in here late Tuesday into Wednesday…

gfs-4

That should give us a better threat for some showers to go along with seasonally chilly temps.

The system following that up for the end of the week into next weekend continues to look much bigger. The models all show a potent storm system sweeping across the country, with the potential for winter weather behind it…

Yes, several models suggest snowflakes with a setup like that…

Don’t take that as anything but what it’s meant to show… the models depicting the possibility of the first snowflakes.

The cold air is impressive…

Tis the season! I will update all that later tonight. Make it a good evening and take care.
