Good Friday, folks. We have made it to the final weekend of March. Did you hear that? The final weekend of March!! That’s hard for me to believe, but this is where we are. Speaking of where we are, warm weather is pushing in and bringing some thunderstorms with it.

Temps today will spike into the 70s for many areas. Some thermometers can get pretty darn warm with enough sunshine.

This warm air takes over and carries us through the middle of next week, at least. look at the next 5 days worth of temperature departures…

This way above normal air mass will then be associated by rounds of showers and thunderstorms. The first round arrives this weekend as low pressure works in. Storms hit the western part of the state early on in Saturday, then overspreads the region Saturday night and Sunday…

That action will move away later Sunday as the mild air rolls on. The flow will then throw another round of showers and storms our way later Monday into Tuesday…

Similar systems will then work our way over the next few weeks. This setup continues to feature stormier than normal weather with an increasing severe weather threat. The GFS Ensembles 2 week rainfall forecast shows a lot of action across the eastern part of the country…

Have a great Friday and take care.
