Good Thursday, everyone. It’s a much different weather day taking shape across the region, as chilly winds are blowing into town. These winds may even stir up a few snowflakes later tonight and early Friday. Fear not my spring weather friends, the weekend looks much milder.
Today will feature that chilly northwesterly wind flow with rounds of showers rolling through…
The air gets cold enough tonight and early Friday morning for a few snowflakes to fly. The GFS shows the best chance of this across the eastern half of the state…
Better weather blows in for Friday afternoon with the upper 40s in the east and upper 50s in the west. That sets the stage for a very nice weekend. Highs for Saturday hit the 60s with the 70s showing up on Sunday.
Temps may make a run at 80 on Monday…
Another cold front dives in here on Tuesday with the threat for some strong storms…
After a bit of a cool down behind that front, the pattern tries to go much warmer. That shows up on the longer range GFS…
Have a great Thursday and take care.
Chris Bailey did a remarkable job on yesterdays storms. We, who post on this blog must commend him. A lot of reports that came in this morning of large hail and high winds along with one tornado event up in southwest Indiana. I was hoping that we would get some of those snow showers, because I’am a real snow lover. Can’t wait till next winter. Have a great day everyone.
Great job as always
Does it look like the pattern will relax a bit now or continued storms through the month?
Chris you do a outstanding job, if not for weather people like you we would be in the dark for what is coming.
This pattern will continue until the temperatures balance. This is what mother nature is doing by causing all this severe weather. No one knows when that will occur. Usually, by mid- June the stormy weather will calm down, but the weather pattern this spring is unusual.
Thanks Chris. I see we are still on that seesaw…. oh well, the warm air will be welcome. Now that winter is officially over, its time for the cold to retreat with it! I know that we still have a few “cycles” (in deference to Jeff 😉 ) but I am looking forward to the warmer air this weekend. I hope everyone made it safely through the storms last night. Big Kudos to CB and Jim and Micah for keeping us up to date with the latest! Much appreciated! Have a great evening all. Thanks again Chris. Just tell me when I can put away my winter work boots….
LOL…”Dogwood cycle”…that’s a new one for sure!
Hahaha no deference owed. Say it how ya want. 😉
