Good Monday, everyone. It’s a very warm week kicking off across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This warm air will be accompanied by a few storm chances. Will those chances have a say in all the outdoor festivities going on? Maybe so.

Highs today are 75-80 in many areas on a strong southwesterly wind. A few clouds will increase this afternoon and evening, ahead of a weak cold front. That front will likely produce some showers and thunderstorms Tuesday into Tuesday night.

Some of the storms could be strong and produce heavy rainfall. The latest rain numbers from the NAM have really ramped up…

Temps will come down a few degrees, but that won’t last long. This pattern is skewed much warmer than normal through next week…

What about storm chances during all this? We will likely see a storm chance around for this Thursday and Friday…

Another disturbance may touch off some scattered storms on Easter Sunday…

Timing the individual disturbances will be crucial, and that timing will certainly change from day to day.

Regardless, this setup is a warm one with the potential for frequent thunderstorm clusters. Certainly sounds like spring to me. 🙂

Make it a great Monday and take care.
