Good Friday, everyone. We are rolling into Easter Weekend with a taste of early June temperatures across our part of the world. With this warm surge will come an increase in storm chances by late in he weekend. That will set the state for a much stormier week ahead.

Highs today hit the low 80s for many with a mix of sun and clouds.

Readings will be near 80 for Saturday with a few more clouds and isolated showers and storms going up. This action will really increase for Eastern Sunday…

That’s ahead of a cold front that drops in and slows down. This means rounds of showers and storms will work from west to east across our region for much of next week. Here’s the setup for late Monday and Tuesday…

With deep upper level systems rolling into the plains states, this should fire up the severe weather machine out there and into the Ohio Valley. The GFS Ensembles show quite a bit of rain for the plains and eastward over the next few weeks…

Have a fantastic Friday and take care.
