Good Sunday and Happy Easter, everyone. Our big day is a warm one, but scattered showers and thunderstorms threaten to crash a few of those egg hunts. Today’s boomers will likely lead us back into a fairly stormy setup for the week ahead.
Highs today will generally be in the 70s for many areas. Showers and storms will be scattered, with the greatest concentration coming later this afternoon and evening. A few of the storms may even be strong or locally severe…
Scattered showers and storms will then roll into Monday as a front puts the brakes on across the region. The best chance for Monday storms will be across the southern half of the state.
From there, it’s game on for rounds of showers and thunderstorms for the upcoming week.
These rounds through the middle of the week come at us from west to east…
Late in the week, a potent system may develop in the plains and roll toward the Great Lakes. That may orient the storms in more of a southwest to northeast fashion…
That setup can put down some heft rain totals in our part of the world.
Happy Easter and take care.
Chris, Please banned me from your blog. The bloggers on your forum don’t want me to make any comments about what’s going on with the weather. Have a happy Easter.
Something is just not firing properly with this dude. Schroeder, nobody has said nothing to you the last few days everything was kosher. Then you just post the most bizarre statement I think I have witnessed on this blog. If CB chooses not to ban you from comments on the blog there’s a simple way, just quit posting.
This forum is for weather enthusiasts sharing opinions and having good conversations about weather. CB provides us with his forecasts and we comment on what coulda, shoulda, and woulda happened.
This is not a copy and paste forum.
People don’t read Peanuts anymore, do they?
😀
Nobody cares what you say… just leave…
Happy Easter
Prelude: On 12 April, 2017 after I posted my weather findings, you made this unkind remark about my education ” He’s educated alright, he has a Masters in BS.” This remark has hurt me deeply, and I will take it to my grave. I have a college degree in agriculture from Murray state University which in worked hard for and I’am proud of my earnings. All I was looking for was some intelligent response to my weather post, but I can see that’s not possible on this post. Since, I been posting on here I’ve seen very little weather discussion. Chris, please get this web site off my computer.
Nobody is making you type in the URL for this site. CB doesn’t have to ban you. You take the web site off your computer. Troll.
This dude is about two fries short of happy meal. Multiple personalities, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone act like this on a weather blog he’s completely erratic. How in Gods name does Chris get held responsible of putting his website on Schroeder’s computer and then ask for CB to take this site off his computer? This dude toying with me?
Wow, what did I miss?
I’ve been gone a while and walked into something.
Trust me, you didn’t miss anything of substance. It’s just the same people with zero self-control who keep feeding our recent troll. The cycle will continue until he gets banned (unlikely) or the peanut gallery here figures out they aren’t on FaceBook and quits trying to negatively engage him (more unlikely).
LD you are part of it, too, so drop the self-righteousness.
Hamlin, with all do respect (your one of my favorite bloggers on here you tell it like it is no-nonsense) ironically LD might be right. I need to quit with Schroeder getting under my skin. However LD’s comment about certain ones being part of the peanut gallery was unnecessarily distasteful. Unless LD was including himself in the peanut gallery (highly unlikely).
Hope everyone is having a Happy and safe Easter celebration in his name.
Uh, 66-gallon rain barrel filled up in 5 minutes from very little at the beginning…and it’s raining harder now than a few moments ago here in Valley Station
I wish we get in on the storms down here in Harlan Co. Spring thus far has been almost as bad for lack of storms as winter was for snow down my way but I guess it is a boring blessing in disguise not to have the severe weather like the rest of the state has had. I was in Florence for business on March 1st when widespread damage hit!
Remember you mentioning that one…btw, I just found out my rain barrel is not completely full after all. It was raining so hard that the screen mesh was not allowing the water to seep through fast enough thus I had water running over the top for awhile. Still, we’ve about an inch so far today. It will take at least another quarter maybe a half inch to fill it completely
Thanks Chris. Hapoy Easter everyone! I trust we’ve all had a pretty good day….. here is hoping we get some rain and even a few storms, as long as they are not severe. I didn’t find any eggs but I found a few rabbits scurrying around the neighborhood. Have a pleasant eveningall
Getting a nice, soaking, springtime general rainfall here in Georgetown this evening. I’ll take more of these.
