Good Monday, folks. We’re coming off a Stormy Easter Sunday and that’s leading us into a pattern featuring additional rounds of showers and storms. It’s not going to be wall to wall storms this week, but several boomers will come calling on the bluegrass state. All of this may lead us into a flat our ugly weather weekend.

Today starts with showers and storms for many, with that action winding down from northwest to southeast this afternoon. Highs will generally be in the 70s for those with some afternoon sun and the 60s for those keeping clouds and some rainy weather…

A few more storms will be noted on Tuesday, especially across the south…

Wednesday into Thursday should find scattered storms in our region, with temperatures surging once again. Some low 80s will be possible both days.

This is ahead of a strong storm system that may cut off on top of us this weekend. That would bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, gusty winds and then some gloomy stuff.

Here’s the GFS…

The European Model is similar…

Check out the amazing high temperature contrast from the Ohio Valley into the deep south, and notice how we try to turn very cool…

There is some ugly with that slow-moving system!

Have a great Monday and take care.
