Good Friday, everyone. Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region today, and a few can cause some issues. Once the rain clears, it’s game on toward a weather  weekend straight out of late September. Bring it on, Mother Nature.

Local high water issues are possible out there today as more showers and storms rumble through. Many areas picked up a lot of water on Thursday, so it won’t take much in these spots. Check out those heavy rain numbers in the east on Thursday…

Here are the standard tracking toys for the day…

The system bringing today’s rain then turns the corner up the east coast. That’s NOT something you see in late July, but is more like a cold weather system setup.

Much cooler air then dives in here behind the system with highs on Saturday in the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds and a stiff breeze from the northeast. Lows by Sunday morning will drop deep into the 50s and could get close to a few record lows.

Sunday looks VERY nice with upper 70s to low 80s for highs across the state. Just look how far below normal the numbers are…

This air this weekend is about as dry as you will ever find it around here for this time of year.

Temps moderate some for the middle of next week, but should still only get to normal levels for a few days. That’s when another system works in from the northwest with some showers and storms, and another shot of below normal temps possible…

Make it a great day and take care.
