Good Wednesday to one and all. Moisture continues to increase out there today, and that’s a sign of things to come. Scattered showers and storms will be the opening act to a strong cold front poised to move in here on Friday. That front will usher in some very cool temps, and kick off a wetter overall pattern.

Scattered showers and storms will be common out there today, and some can be strong with very heavy rains…

The scattered stuff will be around again on Thursday, but will have a little better coverage. Temps will be back into the 80s.

The cold front arrives on Friday and it will feel like an honest to goodness fall front sweeping in. Winds will be very gusty as temps stay in the 70s. A line of showers and storms will be along and ahead of the boundary…

The air coming in behind this is very cool and will send our Saturday morning temps into the 50-55 degree range, with a few upper 40s a possibility.

Highs this weekend are in the 70s with Saturday looking VERY good. Clouds will increase on Sunday with the threat for rain arriving. Those showers and storms will increase into Monday…

Temps stay much cooler than normal during this time. This begins a wet looking setup with additional systems working across the region. Another potent front shows up by the second half of next week…

The above map is from the European, but the GFS is very similar. It also shows another system following that one up…

As all that is happening, our temps skew WAY below normal into the middle of the month…

The first half of August obviously looks much cooler than normal, with some moderation likely for the second half. That said, the CFS shows a cool look for the first 2 weeks of September…

Make it a great day and take care,
