Good Saturday and welcome to another taste of fall. Today’s weather is just about as good as you’re going to find it around here, but the pattern ahead looks a little more iffy. While we keep the much cooler than normal pattern, we are likely to see rounds of rain impacting the region.

Today starts with readings close to 50 in many areas. A few record lows are within reach, but our poorly maintained airport thermometers make record lows difficult now. Highs this afternoon are in the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds, with a nice breeze blowing. Soak. It. Up!

Clouds will increase on Sunday with showers and some storms arriving from the west during the afternoon and evening…

If this action slides in a few hours sooner, it will REALLY do a number on temps.

The shower and storms continue into Monday with below normal numbers rolling on. Tuesday will find a bit of a break in the action, but the pattern throws more rain our way for the rest of the week into next weekend. The GFS keeps that action around into early the following week with a tropical threat…

Obviously, temps will continue to run well below normal during this entire time.

Enjoy today’s awesomeness and take care.
