Good Sunday to one and all. Today is a great looking and feeling day as our cold front finally moved out of the state. As we look down the road, we see additional showers and storm chances moving back into town. We will take a look at those chances and a look ahead at the temp pattern for the rest of the month into September.
Highs today are upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of sun and high clouds. Enjoy.

I remember Hurricane Charley, perhaps the 2nd most impactful weather event I ever witnessed. I was crouching low as 100 mph gusts were trying to topple me. At my feet were broken shingles and overhead were large sections of screened-in porches flying like missiles crashing into the house next door. Three doors away, I saw a roof lose most of its shingles as a violent gust shook off the shingles like someone shakes a towel or bedsheet before folding it.
