Good Wednesday to one and all. Our weather pattern has hit the fast forward button and now looks and feels more like late September and early October. It’s a pattern that is locking in for the next little bit, and could very well signal a full blown early start to fall.
Leftover showers and storms are working out of the southeast early today, as our cold front slides east…
Temperatures are generally in the upper 70s for much of the region, but that cool north wind will continue to blow cooler air into town in the coming days. Much of the country goes well below normal…
Highs by Friday are in the low 70s on the latest NAM…
We stay in the 70s through the weekend. Wow.
Lows are deep into the 50s, with some upper 40s showing up on any given night.
As this is happening, we watch the tropics spring to life. Harvey will be down in the Gulf of Mexico and another system is trying to pop across the southeast…
The models suggest a hurricane threat to Texas and Louisiana in the coming days. Can that system impact the weather around here? That’s a possibility…
Fun times ahead.
Make it a good one and take care.

Thank goodness. I don’t know how much more mid 70s dew points I could handle..
That’s odd you’d say that. We had a cold front before the weekend and it blew all that out. I read weather postings here, on WKYT and all the local channels about it on Thursday evening. I never saw a post anywhere that contradicted or changed those initial ones or discussed why that wouldn’t happen. Do you live outside central KY, maybe?
I’m on the Breathitt Perry line and yesterday afternoon we had a 76 dew point and a heat index of 98. So yea, hopefully that’s the last of the 95+ heat indices..
AccuWeather Is Tracking You Even When You Don’t Give It Permission [Updated]

If you’re using the Accuweather app, you need to get rid of it.
So sad.
Hope to see CB put this on Twitter to raise local awareness and transparency!
It’s a simple fact boys. No one on the face of the earth, and I don’t care if you have a degree in Meteorology or even a Phd. can predict what the weather will be in the next few hours. As you know the weather changes every second, and there is no computer or person that fast. Maybe in the distance future. All my forecast are just a guess, and most of the time I’am wrong.
