Good Sunday to one and all. The weather out there this weekend = awesome. I will challenge you to a dual if you don’t agree with that statement. 🙂 As we roll into the first week of October, changes are underway that will lead us into a much more active weather pattern.

Temps today and Monday are generally in the 70s and that’s a sign of things to come. Temps generally range from the upper 70s to near 80 through the middle of next week. It’s been interesting to watch the model numbers come down as we get closer to the week upon us.

A cold front makes a run at us by later Thursday into Friday. This should bring the potential for some showers and storms our way…

The European Model then brings a slow-moving upper low on top of us by next weekend…

You will also notice a tropical system moving out of the Caribbean into the eastern Gulf on the final image. That’s a system I’ve been targeting for a while now. It also shows up on most of the other models, too.

The Canadian is similar to the European through next weekend, but then develops a deep trough to try and pick up whatever gets into the Gulf…

This pattern is loaded with some deepening troughs that can cause some early season winter mischief across the country. The Ensembles snow maps from Europe show  this through early November…

Have a great Sunday and take care.
