Good Wednesday, folks. November is off and running on a wet note across the bluegrass state of Kentucky. This is the start of a fairly wet pattern locking in for the next week to ten days. It’s also a setup skewed pretty mild, but colder changes are showing up later next week.

In the short-term, showers are pretty widespread out there today. Some of this stuff may begin as a touch of frozen precipitation in the far north, but should quickly go over to rain. We will also have heck of a temperature spread from north to south, with the milder air winning the battle.

Temps may actually rise all evening, with many areas hitting their highs late this evening…

This sets the stage for a very mild Thursday with the possibility of a 70 showing up. Scattered showers and storms will be around.

The threat for showers and storms will then increase Friday into Saturday, but this doesn’t look like washout material. Temps continue to stay mild and that continues through the weekend. Rainfall totals through the weekend…

A strong cold front then sweeps in on Monday with a line of showers and storms…

That front is likely to put the brakes on as colder air gets into the Ohio Valley. We will then have to watch for a bowling ball type of storm rolling eastward into the region. The European Model shows a heck of a storm system…

That would be a healthy rain event, helping unlock some of the cold to our north…

I will shoot you an update later today. Make it a good one and take care.
