Good evening, folks. Our arctic front is crossing the state, bringing bitterly cold temps and snow showers back into the bluegrass state. This sets the stage for brutal numbers through the start of the weekend, with a messy system possibly lurking for Sunday and Monday.

Tonight’s snow showers can put down some light accumulations, with that action continuing into Thursday.

The temps and wind chills are the main players. Lows tonight drop back into the single digits with lows from -5 to +5 on the weather menu for Friday and Saturday mornings.

The wind chill forecast from the NAM is still brutal for the next three mornings…

Another little system could bring some light snow and flurries in here on Friday, especially across the west.

The Sunday and Monday system keeps trending colder on each mode, but each model differs on the evolution of the setup.

The European Model is an absolute mess of a storm…

Don’t get caught up in specifics on any one model, but let’s keep watching the trends over the next few days.

Speaking of watching, let’s track the snow showers moving in this evening…
