Good afternoon, everyone. Flurries are slowly ending, as a cold northwesterly wind continues to blow across Kentucky. The focus going forward is on a series of systems, set to bring some snow to our part of the world.

The first system arrives Thursday into Thursday night in the form of a cold front. This front continues to get pushed through here very quickly because of the next set of systems coming in this weekend.

Because of that “push”, our rain to snow setup isn’t going to have much time to produce much in the way of snow accumulations. Watch how fast this blows through on the GFS…

The Canadian is similar…

That’s a shot of arctic air coming in behind this for Friday, with our weekend snow chances rolling in very quickly from late Saturday into Super Bowl Sunday, with another system on Monday.

Accumulating snow is very likely this weekend into early next week. I will talk about that on WKYT-TV starting at 4, then with another update this evening.

Have a great rest of the day and take care.
