Happy Super Bowl. Another round of light snow is working across the state this evening and will put down some light accumulations. As temps crash into the teens overnight, slick spots may develop on area roads.
I will have your tracking tools in a moment.
I want to focus a little more on the late Tuesday/early Wednesday storm system. The European Model keeps showing a healthy band of freezing rain setting up across the state…
The European has an icy friend in the Canadian…
Here’s hoping they are both overplaying that threat.
Let’s get back to tracking the evening action…

Have a great evening and take care.
North of KY river could get interesting.
Canadian shows over 3/4″ ice in SC. Not sure about that.
Of course the Candian shows that, they donโt want it near them ๐ Dim derโ cooky Canadians!
The Canadian is overestimating the level of low-layer cold air d-a-m-m-i-n-g which is resulting in inflated totals. It’s too heavy in too many places not near the actual “fence.” I have to take it with a huge grain of salt. The Euro looks a little more reasonable with its placement and intensity–a more feasible option but certainly not necessarily the right one.
Ohhhhh..I hope that freezing rain misses everybody! BubbaG is right…. could get real interesting in northern Ky and above. Thanks for the update Chris.
Only eastern ky is rain oh well back to the Super Bowl!!
The snow isn’t expected to start until around 11:00pm or so.
Looks like any chance of big snow in Kentucky are slipping as we get deeper into winter.
Just want to avoid big ice and we call it a relative win ๐
Ice hitting the windows in southern Fleming Co right now.
That would be called sleet
Zzz…zzz….zzzz
Yep….or Meh!!!
So for our snow this weekend – in Richmond, my part at least – 0 inches. So for the seasons, three dustings and one four inch snowfall. #alwayshopeful.
