Good evening, folks. The focus of the forecast continues to be on the potential for more rounds of very heavy rain over the next few weeks.
The setup can put us in the prime zone for additional high water issues.
A few showers hit southeastern Kentucky late tonight and early Tuesday, but that won’t be a big deal. Showers will then increase quickly Tuesday night into Wednesday, leading to more heavy rounds of rain through Friday.
That will be followed by another big rain maker late weekend into early next week. Rain totals for these events will likely be excessive. Here’s the Canadian…
Additional systems will then come at us later next week into the following week. The GFS Ensembles show the target zone of the heaviest rain aimed right at us…
Enjoy your evening and take care.
Thanks for the update CB. Not looking forward to the potential for excessive rain totals in the coming days. Take care, and thanks for all you do!
Sounds like winter is just about done.
Here’s hoping that we all can make a comment without being ridiculed by the scientific man…
Thanks for all you do for us Chris.
Oh if only. That would be nice.
That would be lovely!
Here’s to hoping that we can have a civilized comment section without a user attacking another user rather than actually discuss the content that Chris Bailey has posted. Here’s to hoping that users can stay on topic, discuss the weather, models, trends, and information as given to us by Chris Bailey. Here’s to hoping that the first post, out of the gate, has something to do with the weather rather than attack a user for wanting to share scientific knowledge on a blog that actually provides models about the weather.
Obviously, that didn’t work!!! Good luck all with this Wikipedia clown…
AA, What scientific knowledge have you provided us? You do throw out some big words and all. But what have your really shared with us that has been of any interest. Nothing, Nada, not a thing. At least IMO.
CB, Thanks for the rainy update. Looks like Feb. could go down as one of the rainiest in recent years. Still think we will have our share of late Feb,/March snows, but as of now get your duck boots out.
Chris, thank you so much for updating your blog, and thank you soooooo much for the updates regarding the rainy weather. Your work on this blog has been tremendous over the last decade. You truly are a national treasure.
Folks, it looks like we have rain for the next several days. Cloudy skies and muddy ground will become the norm for us as we progress through February.
Virgil, we all know that you are #TeamSpring. Also, Virgil, I am #Hashtag.
LOL..LOL..LOL..To be a scientific guy you sure sound like a idiot when reading your posts..Have yet to read one post about weather from you..Just a bunch of nonsense coming from an eighth grader..Yes folks crack bar is an eighth grader..Now honey go brush your teeth and say your prayers..School tomorrow..
He’s either a child or someone who hasn’t mentally matured past the adolescence stage. Which is indicative in his Star Wars username. The last time I was into Star Wars was when I was in elementary school.
Now why call out Virgil. At least his hashtag is about the weather. Trolls will be Trolls.
#TeamSpring!!
How do people get upset about other users in a comment section on a weather blog
Thanks Chris. Looks like waders will be the shoes of choice for those of us who are in and out at our jobs. Have a good evening all.
