Good Tuesday, everyone. We have a really, really nice weather day on tap across our part of the world, but all eyes are on another big rain maker rolling in. This arrives Wednesday and will bring another heavy rain and flood threat to much of Kentucky.

Highs out there today reach the 60s with clouds thickening up during the afternoon and evening. This is ahead of another potent system working into the Ohio Valley for Wednesday and Thursday. This puts the bluegrass state back into a zone of heavy rain…

Here’s a look at my current thoughts on rainfall…

I would imagine flood watches will be issued soon for much of the region…

In addition to the heavy rain threat, winds are going to become a big player on Thursday. That’s when our low pressure deepens and works to our northeast, potentially giving us gusts of 40mph or greater…

Given the wet ground, those winds could cause easily uproot a few trees.

Colder winds blow into early Friday, with an outside shot of a few flakes in the eastern Mountains. That leads us into a VERY nice weekend as temps turn milder and we hang on to dry weather.

Winter weather tries to show up in the pattern after that…

I will have updates later. Make it a good one and take care.
