Good afternoon, everyone. I’m dropping by for a quick update on the flooding threat coming back into the region for Wednesday and Thursday.
My ideas on the evolution of this setup have not changed, with a general 1″-2″ rainfall for many, and more in the south…
I like what the NAM and Hi Res NAM are doing with the rain numbers…
The Canadian is similar, showing the highest totals in the south…
As was the case for much of last week, the GFS continues to suffer from feedback issues. That impacts the placement of the highest totals. On this run, that action is likely WAY too far south…
When the GFS is all alone, that’s never a good sign.
I would hope we get flood watches soon for much of our region…
I will have the latest on WKYT-TV starting at 4pm. Another update comes your way this evening.
Make it a good one and take care.
Flood talk now and perhaps irony of drought talk this summer? Things tend to work out that way sometimes. CB LOVES drought talk! π π
People cry “drought” when it only rains 6″ in a month.
So true. We’ll be hearing the same ole garbage from the same people this summer…”we need rain”, “the water table’s low”…even if we have positive rainfall for a month or even the year….
Thelma Lou & I are pulling for the gfs on this one. I think rain total here in the lake Cumberland area last week turned out less than what was initially expected as well.
Thanks Chris. I hope we donβt get as mucb rain as forecast. But if we do, we do. Definitely ready for more days like today! Have s great afternoon everyone.
