Good Saturday, everybody. It’s a great looking weekend across our part of the world, but the pattern ahead isn’t looking as nice. Old Man Winter isn’t completely through with us, and is going to try and throw some shots our way over the next few weeks.
Temps out there today reach the 50 degree mark in most areas, with mid and upper 50s in the west. Skies will be mostly sunny.
Sunday starts cold and ends milder as temps warm deep into the 50s. The west can hit 60. Overall, it’s another very nice looking day.
Changes show up on Monday as a strong cold front rolls our way. That’s being pushed by a potent upper level system that spins on top of us into the middle of next week. Showers and storms on Monday may be replaced by the chance for some winter weather by the middle of the week…
Another system then rolls our way by next weekend…
The GFS snow chance map for the next two weeks…
The European Ensembles are similar…
My thoughts on this?
I won’t be able to update anything today, but will have your full update later tonight. Have a great Saturday and take care.

Wouldn’t that be the equivalent of Rocky vs Rambo?
The only bad part about 60-70s in February is potential of this crap returning. Ugh!
As the past two winters were, most snow is to the north so probably correct.
What is funny is the ensembles look CORRECT with little accumulation in KY which makes sense this late in the year….What do you bet this is actually wrong and we get a March blizzard after all!
Bubba always takes the under. 😉
I am fine with some snow. Remember a lot of March snows. Not like it does not happen here. I just find it odd that we start talking about snow in Nov. Seems like by the end of Dec. everybody acts like winter is over and we have no snow. Snow during those months is not something I remember in my 40 years here in Ky growing up and living. Yet by mid-Jan we start getting the “I’m tired of winter and ready for spring”.
I almost expect us to get more. Last year we were hit with a “0-1 inch” storm that dropped 6″ on my area and more on many surrounding counties. And this happens often enough late Feb. and March.
