Good evening, gang. Rain continues to push west to east across Kentucky, kicking off a very active pattern. It’s a pattern that will soon look and feel like winter. Snow lovers have some action to track over the next week and change. #teamspring is not happy.

Here are the radars to track the current rains…

Rain will continue tonight, but shoots away from us pretty early on Tuesday. That leaves us with some sun and gusty winds in the afternoon. Temps will be mild, but the mild gets smacked down by colder air surging in from the northwest Tuesday night.

Rain and snow showers arrive quickly, with snow showers and a few squalls taking over into Wednesday and Thursday. Some light accumulations are possible from time to time, but we should also see a lot of melting. The snow forecasts from the models…

NAM

GFS

I can’t rule out thundersnow during this time. Winds will be very gusty as temps stay MUCH colder than normal through the week and into the weekend.

Another system zips in here on Friday, bringing rain and snow. You can see that on the European…

And the GFS…

After a small break on Saturday, we watch for the potential of another system to work in here for Sunday. Can we get a fully phased system to produce a monster storm? That’s on the table, but so to is the possibility this doesn’t phase and slides to our east and south.

The latest European Model is a compromise between those two scenarios…

A few days later, it shows another winter weather maker diving in here…

There’s not a lot of spring on the European 10 day snow map…

#teamspring is on the ropes!

Enjoy your evening and take care.
