Good afternoon, gang. Snow showers and squalls continue to put down “hit and run” accumulations across the region. These are even covering roads for a brief time, especially in the east. Once this action calms down, we focus on two more systems for the weekend.

In the short-term, keep tracking the snow showers and squalls that are out there…

The late Friday-Friday night system continues to show up well, likely producing a swath of slushy, accumulating snows. Exactly where that sets up is yet to be determined, but here’s my current thinking on who has the best chance…

This setup has the potential to produce a narrow band of a few inches of snow. I will get  a first call map out this evening.

The Sunday storm system continues to vary from model run to model run, and from model to model. The GFS still has a healthy storm system, with the best rain and snow impact across the southern and eastern parts of the state…

The Canadian isn’t too far behind, but is still a bit south…

I will have another update this evening, so check back. Make it a good one and take care.
