Good evening, folks. Much warmer air begins to push into the region tonight, bringing a few rounds of showers and storms. This will then set the stage for a wild next few days, with warm temps and severe weather, and a major temp drop and the flake potential.
A few storms develop overnight as the warm front lifts in from the south and southwest. That should fire up some strong boomers, especially in the north…
I’m also watching for the potential for very heavy rains. Given how wet the ground is, it wouldn’t take much to cause some local high water issues.
Temps tomorrow afternoon surge into the 70s and may threaten 80 with enough sun. A powerful cold front enters the picture tomorrow evening, producing a line of severe storms rolling eastward. The severe weather threat is up there…
Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible. Stay alert to this setup!
Temps by Wednesday morning may be cold enough for a few flakes. Speaking of snow, check out the setup for Friday and Saturday..
