Good evening, everyone. Winter continues to throw punches at us, with snow showers and squalls rolling across the state today. This was actually a pretty impressive system given the time of year. As we look forward, it has to get better. Right?
Snow showers will slowly diminish this evening, but some light accumulations will still be possible. That’s especially the case across the Eastern Kentucky mountains. As that action moves away and skies clear, get ready for a hard freeze. Lows tonight hit the middle and upper 20s…
Temps rebound quickly by the afternoon, with highs reaching the 60s for many. That comes as our winds become westerly then southwesterly, ushering in a mild day on Wednesday…
That’s ahead of another system coming in Wednesday night. This could touch off a broken band of showers and storms…
Much colder air comes back into play on Thursday. Readings may not get out of the 40s for highs.
The next storm system still looks to arrive later this weekend. It’s a bowling ball looking storm, with Kentucky as one of the pins…
That system continues to trend slower with the arrival time, and is also trending farther south. That could make for an interesting setup into the first half of next week as another cold shot dives into the country. Sigh.

I can’t….I just can’t take it anymore. WORST SPRING EVER!!
Cold rain sprinkles in Nashville TN greeted my early morning commute.
But after arriving at work, there were some bursts of light snow. This is one time my windowless interior office was kind of a virtue…….. my work colleagues talked about the snow outside, but I was spared the horrific sight 😉 .
I saw snow one time in May in my area back in the early 90’s. It was in the air, didn’t accumulate. I hope I don’t see it this year but it wouldn’t surprise me.
