Good Tuesday, everyone. We have a very nice day going on out there, but the showers and storms aren’t about to stay away very long. Some of the storms from late Wednesday through the start of the weekend may be strong or severe as temps really ramp up.

As always, let’s begin with today and roll forward. Highs will generally range from 75-80 in many areas as winds turn southwesterly. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted. Can we fire up isolated storms in the southeast? Maybe.

Humidity levels increase on Wednesday with temps around 80 for highs. Late day showers and storms may increase into Wednesday night as a cold front drops in from the northwest…

That front slows down and becomes stationary from west to east across the state, leading to some additional rounds of showers and storms.

Some big storms are possible in that setup, especially with very warm and humid air pressing in. Temps surge deep into the 80s, with the chance for a 90 showing up into Mother’s Day Weekend…

A strong cold front is going to try and wipe that out late Sunday or early next week…
