Good Sunday to one and all. It’s another day of steamy temps and scattered storms rolling across the bluegrass state. As we track the storms, we are also tracking Alberto down in the Gulf of Mexico. What’s left of this system should move into Kentucky by Wednesday, bringing rain and wind our way.

You know the routine on today’s storms… Some could be a little strong and put down enough rain to cause local high water issues. Any storm that goes up will be packed with lightning, so head indoors as soon as you hear thunder. Outside the storms, temps rise deep into the 80s. Humidity levels make it feel even toastier than that.

For Memorial Day… See above. 🙂

Alberto continues as a Tropical Storm down in the Gulf of Mexico as it heads toward the central Gulf Coast states. The 5 day forecast track continues to bring this into Kentucky as a Tropical Depression…

Current indications favor the greatest risk for heavy rain showing up across central and western parts of the state…

The location of the heaviest rain depends on the exact track of what’s left of Alberto. We will also need to watch for some strong storms to develop to the right of that track.

The models are still very consistent in bringing what’s left of the system right on top of Kentucky. They also dive a second system in right behind it with more showers and storms…

The latest Hurricane Models are tightly clustered on a track across Kentucky…

Let’s get back to the storms we have out there today. I have you all set to do some tracking…

Enjoy your Sunday and take care.
