Good Saturday, folks. We’ve made it to the first weekend of August and few showers and storms are on the weekend weather menu. This stormy pattern actually looks to roll right on into next week, with another potent system impacting our weather.
Isolated is the name of the storm game today, as temps are much more seasonal for this time of year. Still, a few decent boomers try to go up later in the afternoon and evening hours.
Here are your Saturday radars…
A few more showers and storms will be around on Sunday with similar temps and more humidity in the air.
The setup for next week is a warmer one early on, with cooler numbers showing back up later in the week. That transition is likely to provide us with another round of wet weather. Rounds of showers and storms look to dive in from northwest…
That’s a step that can deliver some strong storms and heavy rains. We will once again be on guard for high winds and local flash flooding.
This is all being pushed by a pretty sharp trough digging in for the middle and end of the week. It’s one that may actually try to cut off from the main flow, keeping the shower and thunderstorm threat going into the weekend. The Canadian Model is most aggressive with the cutoff low potential…
I’m going to fire up a little winter talk with tomorrow’s update. Can I get a collective “woot”? 🙂
Have a great Saturday and take care.
I’m already longing for crisp fall days and college football Saturday.
woot woot
Woot, Woot! Now, please dont tell me a warm/dry Winter like NOAA already has. I always welcome Winter talk especially during a wet/humid Summer like this.
NOAA is always warm biased lol…most early winter predictions I have seen are calling for a good chance at a modaki el nino, which bodes well for us snow lovers, IF that happens…still early
A weak to moderate El Nino would favor both our areas of far southeastern KY and WV Jimbo:)…..if things pan out and looks like it will as El Nino has already started☺
If we have a warm winter it will be depressing. Fog and rain most of the time with lots of mud to go around.
Let it SNOW – Let it SNOW – Let it SNOW!!! Woot! Woot!
Woot, woot!!!
Thanks Chris. While I always look forward to the winter talk I gotta say I’m not ready for summer to be over. (I do look forward to football though.). I’ll take some normalcy to the weather and have some transition to autumn instead of the light switch effect we seem to have been having for a few seasons. Have a great Saturday everyone. Emjoy. Colder weather will be here before we know It.
WOOT WOOT! Can’t wait to hear about the winter talk tomorrow!
Woot, Woot!!!!! Looking forward to it!
Still too early for winter talk.
Poot poot! lol
woot woot, love to hear winter talk as long as it involves good snows. I am looking forward to fall. Fall is my favorite season
