Good Monday to one and all. We have a potent system dropping into the region from the northwest this week. That bad boy will touch off some pretty healthy showers and thunderstorms across our neck of the woods.

Highs today are still pretty seasonal with high humidity levels bringing a bit of an uncomfortable factor to the mix. Scattered showers and storms will develop, especially this afternoon into the evening…

The storms rolling in here on Tuesday may be strong or locally severe. Here’s the latest Severe Weather Outlook from the SPC…

Scattered showers and storms will then carry us into Wednesday as temps come down several degrees. There’s a chance we get a return of some, at least, scattered showers and storms later this week into the coming weekend…

That would help in keeping our temps in check. Speaking of keeping the temps in check, the European Weeklies continue to do just that through the middle of September…

That’s a lot of real estate across the country with below normal temps. Of course, that does NOT mean you can’t get some toasty days in there… You will. It just means the average temp between now and the middle of September may average a little below normal. That’s fine by me… It’s almost football time! 🙂

Make it a great day and take care.
